Loews Sapphire Falls Resort: Four Reasons To Stay During Your Universal Orlando Vacation Jenn, February 7, 2018 Sharing is caring! Share Tweet Pin Loews Sapphire Falls Resort is the newest on site hotel at Universal Orlando. It transports you to a vibrant tropical oasis, with palm trees swaying and steel drums playing you are sure to settle into vacation mode at Sapphire Falls. I have to say, this resort is becoming one of my favorite Universal Orlando resorts. From the friendly valet and bell service staff to the knowledgeable front desk, check-in was a pleasure. For me that almost always sets the tone for my visit, and this one didn’t disappoint. I want to share my top four reasons you need to stay at Loews Sapphire Falls during your next Orlando vacation. Loews Sapphire Falls Review 1. Perfect Location Upon entering the resort you are greeted by a stunning chandelier and massive glass window that looks directly out to Islands of Adventure, that is how close you are to the Universal Orlando theme parks. You will take a short ride on the water taxi from the resort, and you are dropped directly at the front door to City Walk and the two theme parks. There is also a walkway that will lead you to the entrance of Islands of Adventure without crossing any major highways or roads. Sapphire Falls is situated directly between Cabana Bay Beach Resort and Royal Pacific Resort, this makes exploring other resorts easy as it is about a five minute walk to each resort. If you drove to the resort, once you park your car, you won’t need to move it as this resort is in a prime location. 2. Spacious Rooms Sapphire Falls offers an elegant yet subtle island feel, meaning no wicker furniture and tiki torches. During a stay with my kids we were in a Kids Suite; they offer a little more space for families without the huge price tag of other suites. Our suite was two rooms, the main room was a king bed, closet and bathroom areas. The other room was two twin beds with a kids sized table and chairs as well as dresser and television. This was perfect for travel with a tween and teen, they are getting a little too old to share a bed. The suites also offer a coffee maker and fridge, certainly convenient for drinks and snacks. We had a perfect pool view and that allowed for fast pool access. The standard rooms are the same decor with either two queen beds or one king. They are spacious enough for a family of four without the cost of a suite. If you plan to spend more time in the parks than in your room, save a few dollars and book the standard room. 3. Feature Pool Be sure to take a day off from the parks and enjoy the 16,000 square foot pool at Sapphire Falls. From a zero entry area for the little ones to a water slide for the big kids, you can sit poolside all day and sip fruity drinks from Drhum Club Kantine while the kids play. Offering pool side dining until 9 p.m. daily you really have no reason to leave the Florida sunshine. May I suggest the reggae rita. If the sun is too much find a chair on the sandy beach side of the pool grounds and find shade under a palm tree. If you really want to treat yourself rent a private cabana for the day! Once the sun goes down you can enjoy a movie under the stars while you swim, as this activity is included in your resort stay. You can also purchase a smores kit in the lobby shop and roast marshmallows on the beach fire-pit. 4. Dining You will not go hungry at Sapphire Falls with four different dining options on site, plus in-room dining. We dined at the Amatista Cookhouse for breakfast and it was wonderful. They offer both a breakfast buffet and ala-carte options. We opted for the buffet and it was full of fresh fruits, yogurt, pastries and hot breakfast items. The open dining room has beautiful views of the lagoon and Islands of Adventure, you can even dine outside on the terrace if you choose. The New Dutch Trading Co offers quick grab and go options as well as salads, sandwiches and hot pots. Dine poolside at the Kantine, my go-to item is always the nachos with chicken, they never disappoint and are a huge portion. Looking for a night-cap? Adults can enjoy the Strong Water Tavern rum bar. The tavern features rums from all over the world including Jamaica, Barbados and Martinique to name a few. Let the expert bartenders make you a rum flight and try something new; such as the plantation pineapple rum. It was like nothing I have ever tasted and went down just a little too easy. There you have it my top four reasons to stay at Loews Sapphire Falls. This is a great resort for families and you wont break the bank. It is a mid-range priced on-site hotel at Universal Orlando Resort. The island escape that Sapphire Falls offers is a fantastic addition to your Universal Orlando vacation. Leave your cares at the door and enjoy your vacation mon’. Have you stayed at Loews Sapphire Falls yet? If not, what’s stopping you!
