Universal City Walk: Best Places to Dine Jenn, September 14, 2016February 1, 2018 Sharing is caring! Share Tweet Pin Universal City Walk is the shopping and nightlife epicenter open well after the Universal theme parks close. We love to take an evening break once the parks close. We freshen up after a little siesta and head over to City Walk. After numerous trips to Universal Orlando Resort this is our top picks for dining at City Walk. The best part about City Walk is you can walk there from your Universal on-site hotel, take the water taxi or the shuttle from Cabana Bay. It is convenient and easy to access from all on-site hotels. Plus all of the transportation from on-site hotels is FREE. Universal City Walk Dining Casual Dining After a long day in the park you may want to grab something quick to eat and head back to your resort for the night. These are our top three grab and go dining choices and Universal City Walk. Moe’s Southwest Grille: We love Moe’s when we visit Universal because we don’t have one in Maryland. The cheese queso is to die for. I could honestly just eat that. Known for big burritos, taco and quesadillas made fresh to order you can’t go wrong if you are craving tex-mex on the go. Great prices make it even more delightful Breadbox: If you are hankering anything but a simple sandwich this is the place for you. Offering signature grilled cheese sandwiches, patty melts and deli classics we always find something for every family member. They also have Pabst Blue Ribbon on draft, need I say more. Hot Dog Hall of Fame: Not your basic hot dog stand the Hot Dog Hall of Fame serves delights from Chicago to LA. You can sit in stadium style seating, walk on artificial turf, and kick back in the bleachers. Ballpark graphics, digital displays, trophies, field lights, and signage all make you feel like you’re ready for the seventh inning stretch. We love the New York dog with Sabrett hot dogs, mustard and kraut. Just the way the perfect hot dog should be. Table Service Dining Many families would rather sit down for a nice dinner after a day in the parks. Personally we like to mix it up with casual and sit down dining when we are at Universal Orlando Resort. When we do want a sit down meal these are our three top spots. Antojitos: If mom can get a margarita the family is happy; because mom is happy. Aside from great cocktails Antojitos offers authentic mexican fare in a festive atmosphere. Take a journey through the cantinas, street carts, and markets of Mexico City for the best food you’ve never had at Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food. Only the freshest ingredients marinated, roasted, or grilled to perfection are used to create the Mexican street food fare that has drawn attention from the culinary elite around the globe. The incredible food, colorful décor, and authentic bar menu will make you feel like you just discovered a hidden gem that only locals know about. The Cowfish: Looking for something different; this is the place! Burgers and sushi. Sushi and burgers. Certainly unusual, absolutely great. That’s The Cowfish, the first and only Sushi Burger Bar, focused on offering both the best sushi AND the best burger in town. We love the bento box that has a little of everything that Cowfish offers. Vivo Italian Kitchen: You will walk up an appetite in the parks every day. Why not carb load on some pasta after burning off the calories. From the moment you step inside, the aromas of simmering sauces, freshly baked breads, and sizzling meats fill the air. The restaurant’s Expo Kitchen takes center stage where you can observe chefs mixing sauces, hand-crafting dough to make fresh bread, preparing homemade mozzarella, making fresh pasta right before your eyes, and sliding piping hot pizza pies out of the oven. We love it here because my youngest can get a pizza and I can get a great glass of wine and pasta. It’s a win-win for the family. With so many great options at Universal City Walk you can find something for everyone in the family; even if you have picky eaters. What is your favorite place to dine at City Walk?
