Paradiso 37 is where you want to dine in Disney Springs if you are looking for bright cocktails and flavorful food. Located in The Landing area, this restaurant was a pleasant surprise for my family. Offering waterfront dining al- fresco or beautiful indoor dining, you won’t be sorry you added this to your Disney dining list!
I was an invited guest for this visit, and my meal was complimentary. All opinions are my own.
Paradiso 37 Review
Paradiso 37 reopened on May 20, after being closed due to Covid-19 shutdowns. Before we get into the amazing food let’s take a quick look at what they are doing in light of limited capacity and new safety measures.
The health and well-being of guests and employees is their priority. Upon reopening the restaurant established an enhanced protocol that includes the following:
- Limiting the number of guests in the dining room per the guidelines established by the State of Florida
- Screening employees and guests for temperature and other health indications
- Always promoting and adhering to social distancing rules
- Employees wearing gloves and masks
- Providing guests with disposable menus
- Continuous cleaning and sanitation practices in place throughout our restaurant including tables, chairs, doors, check presenters, waiting areas and restrooms
- Sanitizing and cleaning chairs and tables after each meal
- Having hand sanitizer available to guests in places throughout our dining room
When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by a hostess (of course wearing her mask), and shown where the hand sanitizer station was closest to our table. The tables were spread out in a manner that there were two tables between each party, no families were sitting on top of each other.
If you are more comfortable outside, you can certainly dine al-fresco as they have ample patio space.
Grab A Cocktail
The feature bar has a towering wall of over 50 tequilas from around the world! There is no shortage of beverages to choose from here. I have never been one to turn down a margarita, well actually any drink for that matter, so this was totally up my alley. It was so hot that day, so I actually had a P37 white sangria. It was vibrant and refreshing.
Celebrate The Americas- With Food
The restaurant serves up unique cuisine inspired by the Street Foods of the Americas. Menu items from North, South and Central America are featured for both lunch and dinner. If you are looking for a meal packed with flavor you came to the right place.
The restaurant is currently running a smaller menu, this is to help get them back on their feet after being closed all Spring. You will find all of it’s signature dishes and guests favorites among the choices.
Appetizers
We began our meal with tastes from Venezuela, Puerto Rico and Mexico. Let me just say this, get the Beef Empanadas, and when you finish the first plate, order another. These were amazing, the dough was light and crisp, and the potato and beef filling was packed with flavor. I could have eaten 10 of these, and been satisfied.
Another favorite of mine were the fries, these are a Venezuelan specialty and I still cannot pronounce the name properly. But I want to try to recreate these at home. And yes those are sausages!
I could have honestly made a full meal out of the appetizers alone, this is the perfect place for small plates and drinks!
Main Course
You can choose between handheld loaded burgers, tacos or fresh salmon dishes at Paradiso 37, there is a wide variety to choose from. I opted for the Argentinian Skirt Steak, the caramelized onions and chimichurri sauce took it over the top.
The others in my group opted for the Herb Roasted Chicken, which is a HALF chicken served with mashed potatoes and green beans as well as the Seared Salmon over Cilantro Rice with roasted veggies. I took a taste of each, and again both were fantastic and packed with flavor.
We had kids dining with us and they all opted for the beef soft tacos for dinner. Each portion comes with two tacos and rice. Certainly more than enough for the little ones. Don’t worry if your kids aren’t adventurous eaters, they can get chicken tenders as well.
Ending On A Sweet Note
If you know me, you know I love sweets, especially churros, I have been known to eat them for breakfast I love them so much. We were actually treated to a sampling all of the top sellers.
Churros: Yes please! Cinnamon-Sugar goodness fried up and served with warm chocolate and caramel sauce
Mini Ice Cream Cones: Grab a sweet basket for the whole table, flavors are cookies and cream, strawberry, vanilla and chocolate. The kids destroyed these!
Guava Cheesecake: This New York Style Cheesecake is made with the classic Guava Pie Filling.
Chocolate Fudge Brownie: Served with Vanilla Ice Cream you can’t go wrong with this classic.
Overall
Again, I cannot believe I have never dined here before this visit. I love everything about Paradiso 37 from it’s vibrant decor, to the cocktail selection and flavorful menu. I will certainly be returning here on my next Disney Springs visit, if for nothing else but Margaritas and Empanadas overlooking the water, ok and maybe some churros!
Next time you visit Disney Springs be sure to dine at Paradiso 37 and Celebrate the Americas.
