Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista is the closest resort to Disney Springs, and the best bang for your buck on Disney property. This has easily become our favorite resort in Disney Springs. Offering all the Disney perks, and a ten minute walk to Disney Springs, how can we not love it? And, when you stay at the Wyndham Garden, you are at an Official Walt Disney World Resort. 

For this visit, I was provided accommodations as a guest of the We Grow Retreat, however all opinions are my own.

Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista

The rooms at the Wyndham Garden are under-going a full refurbishment and will be completed by the end of this year. I have to say they have outdone themselves with this re-imaging. The rooms are bright, and have a very modern Florida feel.

Room Amenities

• 2 Double or 1 King Beds: 90% of inventory is double rooms as they cater to families. It is Disney after-all
• Separate shower/vanity area closed off from room with farmhouse door

These rooms are all exterior entry, each morning you step out into the warm Florida sun watching the palm trees sway.

Resort Amenities

Just because it is budget friendly doesn’t mean it lacks great amenities. There is plenty to do when you are taking a break from the Disney Parks.

Dining

Sundial Grab and Go Market– Located in the lobby you can get drinks, snacks, soups, sandwiches and more. Open 24 hours. There is a nice seating area just off the market where you can enjoy your food.

Oasis Bar and Grille– This pool side spot is open for lunch each day offering pub grub menu, cocktails and refreshments. Hours vary seasonally.

Lakeview Restaurant– Open for breakfast and dinner this table service restaurant is very family friendly. Offering a Disney Character Breakfast on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning, you can enjoy made to order Mickey Waffles and Pal around with Goofy and Pluto. From personal experience, I have to say the character interaction is the best, it is not rushed and they take all the time you want.  Oh and the price, less than $30 per person for adults!

Eclipse Lounge– Located in the lobby, grab a drink and small plates while you wind down, or catch your favorite sports team.

Room Service– A limited menu is available each day.

Children’s Activities

Have you ever heard of a Director of Fun? The Wyndham Garden has Jill, and she plans all of the daily activities at the resort.  From making towel animals poolside, to pin trading, and lots of other great activities, your kids won’t grow bored. You can’t miss her with her Mickey Ears and upbeat personality. Looking for something fun for the kids to do, just ask Jill!

Activity Center

If your kids are getting a little ancy in the room, take them to the activity center where they can read a book, or watch cartoons.

Pool

It’s not a trip to Orlando without some poolside relaxation. We love the pool at the Wyndham Garden, it is huge! There is a kids zero entry splash and play area, a water feature, a hot tub (parents only), and a quiet pool. There are plenty of lounge chairs, and if you want some shade you can rent a cabana for the day. You can also rent fun pool floats as well.

Closest Resort To Disney Springs

Remember when I said that the Wyndham Garden is the CLOSEST resort to Disney Springs? I wasn’t exaggerating, a leisurely ten minute walk via pedestrian bridge will have you right in the center of all the great Disney Springs action. If you cannot walk there is a shuttle each evening that begins at 6 p.m. and returns on the half hour.

What is an Official Walt Disney World Resort?

An official Walt Disney World Resort gives you ALL of the benefits of staying on property.  Those benefits include theme park transportation every 30 minutes, Extra Magic Hours, 60 day booking window for fast-passes, and you  can link your resort reservation to your My Disney Experience account. You can also check-in for your flight, get boarding passes and check your bags on departure day at the airline desk. The only thing that you will not have  included is your Magic Band, and you can purchase those in the Disney Store in the hotel lobby.
