Take Stress out of Summer Travel at Country Inns & Suites by Carlson

Country Inns & Suites by Carlson make choosing a hotel for summer travel easy. With hotels all over the United States and Canada you are sure to find one during your planning stages. We still have plenty of summer left; so get out there and see why Country Inns & Suites is my family hotel preference.

It is no secret that I travel often; many times my flight schedule is crazy; so I will stay at the airport. I always stay at the Country Inns & Suites whether I am traveling alone or with my family. Let me share why and maybe you will choose them for your next weekend away or full weeks vacation.

I am always ready to go somewhere...
I am always ready to go somewhere…

Inviting Lobby and Open Spaces

When traveling for business I sometimes need a space to do work that is outside of my hotel room. Country Inns & Suites offer open lobby areas with free wi-fi and many outlets to stay plugged in. They also offer comfortable tables and chairs. Many hotels now don’t have a lobby you can actually relax in. It is also great when traveling with kids to have a place to take them to chill out a bit before heading up to the room. You can use a table for board-games or cards after a long day exploring your vacation destination.

Large Rooms

I travel with two kids age seven and 16. My teenager wants her own space at the end of the day and I can’t blame her for that. Country Inns & Suites offer large rooms with two queen beds or a 1 bedroom suite with two queen beds and a pull out sofa in the living room. The option is always the one we choose as it gives us ample space as a family of four. You can also find a larger executive suite with 1 king bed for business travel.

Low Price

Country Inns & Suites offer very reasonable pricing for family travel. Kids 18 and under stay FREE with paying adults. I did a little research and during peak summer travel times you can stay at a Country Inns & Suites in Orlando for under $180.00 per night with tax! That is a heck of a deal for a suite.

FREE Breakfast & FREE Wi-Fi

Be it business or personal travel I need both of these amenities. The breakfast offered isn’t just a continental breakfast; the Be Our Guest Breakfast, offered at hotels in the U.S. and Canada offers hot fresh selections from oatmeal and eggs and bacon to build-your-own options like omeletes and yogurt parfaits. Plus, the menu rotates so you can experience a new offering every day.

If you are traveling in the Eastern United States this summer a brand new Country Inns & Suites has opened in the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains of Ashville, NC.  This would be the ideal hotel choice to see the beautiful fall colors.

The hotel is located a mile away from downtown and is tucked away in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and is within easy reach of the best that the Asheville area has to offer, including the Biltmore Estate, US Cellular Center and 40 microbreweries, including the neighboring New Belgium Brewery and tasting room. The hotel offers 94 guest rooms with a variety of suites and configurations. Guests of the hotel have access to an array of amenities including free high-speed Internet, an indoor heated pool and outdoor veranda. Additionally, the hotel offers the brand’s signature complimentary, hot Be Our Guest breakfast served daily on classic dining ware and a free shuttle service within a five-mile radius, allowing travelers hassle-free access to restaurants and shops in the downtown area. The new Asheville location is full of character and will provide everything you need from spa like bathrooms to outdoor fire pit.

The hot breakfast is a winner in my book. Many hotels are cutting perks like breakfast these days to save money, or maybe offering only cold muffins and bad coffee. For families especially, Country Inn & Suites can save travelers money they would otherwise need to spend at a diner down the road.
