Wildcat’s Revenge is now open at Hersheypark! The coaster combines the best of wood and steel by adding a new track with unique elements to the wooden framework for this truly one-of-a-kind thrilling ride. The new hybrid is the 15th coaster at Pennsylvania’s largest amusement park, which is now home to the most coasters in the Northeast.

Wildcat’s Revenge

Wildcat is back- and it’s ready for revenge! In the Fall of 2022, the original wooden coaster was closed, and after much speculation Hershey announced that a hybrid coaster built by RMC (Rocky Mountain Construction) would be coming in 2023.

Located in the Midway America section of Hersheypark, Wildcat’s Revenge features a fully renovated coaster station, and larger queue. The coaster invites Hershey’s height requirement and taller (48 inches and above) to sit in one of three custom trains, showcasing fully-dimensional black, charcoal, and silver wild cats exacting revenge on their wooden predecessor.

Coaster Specifics

  • The first hybrid coaster manufactured by Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC) in Pennsylvania.
  • 2-minute and 36-second experience begins as riders climb a 140-foot hill, plunge into an 82-degree drop and hit a maximum speed of 62 miles per hour along 3,510 feet of red track on a black steel and wood structure. 
  • The pursuit continues as riders stalk their prey through four inversions, including the World’s Largest Underflip, an inversion that begins with an upward climb, followed by a counterclockwise 270° roll and a dive down towards the side. 
  • Fully renovated coaster station with a design that harkens back to the iconic 1923 Wild Cat station, with low-pitched gables around the roof’s perimeter. 
  • Hershey’s height requirement and taller (48 inches and above) will sit in one of three custom trains, showcasing fully-dimensional black, charcoal and silver wild cats exacting revenge on their wooden predecessor.

This coaster absolutely exceeded my expectations, while I had been on RMC Hybrid coasters before this one takes it to a new level! It’s truly non-stop from the minute you leave the station. Don’t let the lift hill deceive you from the ground it’s every bit of 140ft and then some- you are quickly dropped 82 feet with full airtime the entire drop. There is never time to even catch your breath- as this coaster doesn’t slow down once through every hill and inversion.

Wildcat’s Revenge Food & Beverage 

To celebrate the opening of Wildcat’s Revenge you can find themed items throughout the park to enjoy.

I tried a few of these, and they are a fun addition to the park’s food scene. The Wildcat’s Revenge Sundae is enormous, so be sure to share it with your friends. You can even find a Wildcat’s Revenge hot dog in the park- but watch out, it has a little bite.
