The Carnival Pride unveils a new look and great additions Jenn, October 6, 2015October 5, 2015 Sharing is caring! Share Tweet Pin The Carnival Pride unveiled a shiny new look in early 2015. She is an older ship in the fleet that is primarily based in the Port of Baltimore, during our harsh winters she sails back to Tampa for a few months. The Pride is a Spirit Class in the Carnival Fleet, and was christened in 2002. Carnival Pride has 1,062 staterooms; eighty percent of the staterooms have ocean views and eighty percent of those have private balconies. You can’t go wrong sailing this ship, and with the new additions it is better than ever. Carnival Pride is a charming ship with something for everyone from singles to families. The new look and additions are just what this ship needed! I must also stress that the staff on the Carnival Pride is absolutely wonderful, that made the cruise even better. Dine refined, from the zen-like simplicity of Bonsai Sushi to the muted hues of the main dining room Normandie Restaurant. If you are looking for a date night visit David’s Steakhouse, for an extra fee you will enjoy a fantastic dinner. We loved the sushi bar for a late night snack, as it is open until mid-night. And of course there’s real, delectable substance while you work up an appetite playing in the pool. For something a little more casual, grab a burger or three at Guy’s Burger Joint. The Mexican heat’s optional at BlueIguana Cantina, you can get loaded breakfast burritos or come back for lunch! Either way both of these restaurants are included in your cruise fare! All around you’ll discover even more ways to stay cool, like an adult-only pool at Serenity, a fun-only midship pool featuring a retractable roof… and even a fun-for-all Carnival WaterWorks, the new splashy onboard waterpark. Alongside the pool is the big-fun Seaside Theatre, spinning tunes during the day and playing Dive-In movies twice each night. While Seuss at Sea is a good time for those who love a good rhyme. Camp Carnival, Circle “C” and Club O2 prove that we’ve got hotspots for all the cool kids… while at Hasbro, The Game Show, kids and adults join forces in a friendly, larger-than-life game show showdown! We absolutely loved the EA Sports Bar and found this the perfect spot to watch the women’s world cup championship. The Staterooms have been updated with flat screen TV’s and new bedding, however the colors are still a little dated. That didn’t bother us as we only slept and got dressed in the staterooms. I did however LOVE the ample storage space in the staterooms, you can even store your luggage under the bed all week. If you need a break from the ship there is 24 hour room service as well. No matter what you decide you won’t have a bad cruise on the Carnival Pride!
