Heather Parry has made an incredible name for herself as a film producer in Hollywood. In 2018 she produced one of the biggest films of the year “A Star Is Born,” which starred Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. Apart from being a film producer, she has also worked on countless documentaries, sharing the success stories of Hollywood most prominent music artists.
Road To Success
Heather Parry’s career in film production sparked when she was able to snag a job at MTV in the early 1990’s. Her agility and diligence did not go unnoticed and within a span of three years, she was promoted to serve as the West Coast Bureau Chief for MTV news, where she produced memorable specials such as The MTV Movie Awards Pre-Show, the politically driven “Choose or Loose,” and MTV’s Movie House. When Heather Parry shifted to MTV Films, she happily worked closely with multiple recording artists including Justin Timberlake and Pearl Jam, and produced films such as “Get Rich or Die Tryin” with 50 cent and Adam Sandler’s “The Longest Yard” – which grossed over 60 million dollars opening weekend.
During the filming of the Longest Yard, Heather Parry and Adam Sandler developed a strong friendship, so when she was presented with an offer to work for Happy Madison Productions, she happily accepted. She worked at Happy Madison Production for more than a decade. During this time Parry embarked on a new mission: She was determined to develop more complex roles for women in Hollywood. Her first film at Happy Madison was the critically acclaimed comedy “House Bunny,” which was an instant box office hit that debuted to #1 on opening day. She went to produce other critically acclaimed movies such as “Just Go With It” with Jennifer Aniston (who she remains friends with to this day), “That’s My Boy”, and the animated action film “Pixels,” which grossed $243.6 million worldwide and is the most-watched movie trailer in Sony’s history, garnering 34.3 million views in the first 24hrs.
From Film To Music Documentaries
While working at Happy Madison Productions, Heather Parry built an excellent resume and in 2015 she joined Live Nation Productions where she served as President of Production, Film, and Television. Her aim at Live Nation was to produce mostly films about music and cover the stories of great music artists. She produced the Sean “Diddy” Combs documentary “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop: A Bad Boy Story,” the Lady Gaga film “Five Foot Two” and the scripted film “The After Party,” starring Wiz Khalifa.
In 2018 Parry worked on the historic film “A Star is Born” alongside her longtime friend film star Bradley Cooper. This became one of the biggest films in 2018.
