Review: Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista Jenn, November 7, 2015November 6, 2015 Sharing is caring! Share Tweet Pin On our recent visit to Orlando we decided to go-rogue, meaning not stay on property at Walt Disney World. I had my reservations about the entire experience at first. I am a Disney girl, and love to be on property. My mind was quickly changed once we checked into the Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista. If you are a family on a budget, yet still looking for a resort close to Disney I highly suggest Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista. The location is perfect, you are on the doorstep to the entrance of Walt Disney World Resort, literally like 2 traffic lights away and you are at Disney Springs. Being a Disney Good Neighbor hotel is a big deal, and this property meets and exceed those expectations. If you have never stayed at an Embassy Suites, they are an all suite property with a separate bedroom, bathroom and living room including a sleep sofa, some of the room types also include a kitchenette. With rooms that sleep up to 6, Embassy Suites are perfect for larger families. The Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista has just undergone a lengthy renovation and it is gorgeous. The rooms are chic and modern, and the resort itself is really bright and updated. When we turned on the television we were thrilled to see Stacy J giving us all of the Must Do Disney tips! Living Room area with Sleep Sofa Bedroom with 2 queens separate from living room Kitchenette between living room and bedroom We arrived late and missed the evening Managers Reception, offering light snacks and complimentary drinks from 5.30-7.30 p.m. Bummer, who doesn’t love a free beer after flying with kids all day. I was thankful we didn’t have to leave the resort as they have a poolside bar, serving food and drinks until midnight. This is a great space to unwind, and let the kids swim a bit after a long day. After a refreshing nights sleep head down to the atrium for a FREE cooked to order breakfast (included with every stay). I love this perk that Embassy Suites offers, it sets them apart from the rest of the hotels. In my opinion I believe they offer the best breakfast (no powdered eggs here) offering cereal, fresh fruit, assorted meats, potatoes, toast/bagels and cooked to order eggs or omelets you can’t beat it. The morning chef was delightful and making us laugh the whole time we waited with other guests for our fresh omelets. Certainly a great start to a day in Disney! I would definitely suggest taking a day off from the parks and enjoying the resort. Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista offers a ton of amenities for it’s guests. Each day the resort offers activities such as wii tournaments, coloring/arts & crafts, bingo, corn hole tournaments, cookie decorating, basketball tournaments and my favorite nightly dive-in movies. You will receive a resort guide upon check-in with times listed for all resort activities. All of the activities are complimentary and included with your stay! How great is that. We also found a foosball, ping pong and a billiard table on a separate part of the outdoor deck. Rent a cabana for the day and relax, you are on vacation after-all. Dare I say, they may actually offer more free activities then a Disney resort! Did I mention they have a spa? Oh yes, the Venus Spa is located at the Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista and offers a wide range of treatments for all your relaxation needs. Anyone looking for a pool-side massage or pedicure? Yup, they even offer those! When you want to visit the Disney Parks, head down to the lobby and purchase your tickets from the Good Neighbor Hotel Ticket Center. The Concierge will help with all of your questions and ticket needs from 7a.m-3p.m. daily. The Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista offers a shuttle to the Magic Kingdom 3 times per day and 4 return shuttles per day. Once you arrive at the Magic Kingdom you can utilize the free Disney Resort transportation to get to the Disney parks or Disney Springs. Staying at the Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista I did not feel like I was missing out by not being on Disney property at all. The resort is fantastic and I would highly suggest staying the next time you visit Orlando. You won’t be disappointed in all of the great offerings at Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista. Disclosure: Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista hosted my family for a one night stay, all opinions are my own. No further compensation was given.
