Reunion Resort: A Practically Perfect Disney Off-Site Villa Jenn, May 5, 2016May 5, 2016 Sharing is caring! Share Tweet Pin Disclosure: I was hosted for two nights by the owner of Reunion Resort Villa (7508 Seven Eagles Way) in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own and I will not be compensated further. Are you thinking of staying off-site for your Disney vacation? Reunion Resort sits on the doorstep of the Walt Disney World resort and offers deluxe accommodations. I would have never thought of staying in a villa at Reunion before visiting. I was under the assumption that it was a private “owners-only” community. I was mistaken, this resort is open to everyone for rentals. If you want to break away from the hustle and bustle of Orlando hotels this is the perfect option. Photo Credit: Reunion Resort During a recent girls trip to Orlando we stayed at Reunion Resort in a well-appointed villa located at 7508 Seven Eagles Way. Upon arrival we were in awe of the resort itself with a huge golf course rolling through the grounds, and pristine homes of all types. If you are an avid golfer this is the resort for you, as they are the only resort in the world featuring three signature golf courses designed by golf’s greatest legends: Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Tom Watson. You will also get discounted greens fees as a guest if the property owner has golf membership, it just so happens our villa does! Unfortunately my husband missed out on some world-class golf. Before our arrival Meggen, the owner equipped us with all of the instructions for the villa and her personal information should we need her at any time during our stay. I like this personal touch, she could have a manager do it for her but she runs her properties herself and keeps this particular one meticulous. She even gave us a list of closest stores, movie theaters and more. My favorite touch with the welcome email was her “Florida Native” tips. She included every detail from avoiding I-4 to the best shopping. If this had been my first visit I would have loved those tips! When we arrived we opened the doors to a large well-appointed 3 bedroom villa, this newly renovated villa is luxury from top to bottom. I won’t lie, she keeps nicer furniture and linens than I do in my own home. When I say it has been completely renovated I mean the entire villa. Featuring all new carpeting, wood flooring, Pottery Barn furniture, stainless steel appliances and more. They didn’t miss a single detail in the renovation process. The one thing I found a little strange is when you enter on the lower level it is two bedrooms and two bathrooms as well as the washer and dryer closet. It took a little getting used to that the main level was upstairs and not where you enter. It didn’t change my opinion personally; but it may not work for some families with that layout. My kids would care less to be honest. With the two downstairs bedrooms you have one with a king bed and a second with two twin beds. You will also have two full baths downstairs. Each area is separated by doors as well. For our girls trip we slept 3 downstairs, it was perfect! Head upstairs and you are greeted by a lovely reading nook in the entryway. This is also where the kitchen, living room/dining area and master bedroom are. The kitchen is gorgeous with all new stainless steel appliances and perfectly matched dishware. There are even cookbooks for your use. No detail has been left out to really make this villa feel like home for a week. The living room is bright and airy with a very Florida feel. Under the coffee table are board games and magazines and there is a big screen TV on the wall. The dining room table greets you with a fresh fruit basket and coffee. Like I said it’s the little details here that set it apart from other properties. I took up residence in the “master suite” while we were there. I think it’s because the girls didn’t want to carry their luggage upstairs after traveling to be honest. I really only call it a master because it houses a tub IN the bedroom. A quaint corner soaking tub, I mean who doesn’t want to chill out after a long day of golf or in the theme parks? The king bed was heavenly. Meggen didn’t skimp on cheap mattresses or pillows. When I grow up I want this to be my bedroom, all of it. You also get two free parking spaces and free wi-fi while you are a guest at 7508 Seven Eagles Way. The perks don’t end there, you can use all of the resort amenities while you are a villa guest including the water park for a $15 per person fee. Float down the lazy river, ride the twisting water slides and play lawn games. Pair that with poolside food and beverage service, tropical landscaping, sunny or shaded lounge areas, and you have a great place to take a break from the theme parks. Other amenities include a world-class Spa, kids club for children ages 4-10, tennis center, fitness center, in-room dining and five dining locations. Oh and did I mention you can go to the roof of the resort hotel and watch fireworks each night! While you may feel worlds away from the “Most Magical Place on Earth” at Reunion you are just a skip away. You can rent this villa through this link, the owner Meggen Wilson takes great pride in her properties and it really shows in each detail. I would highly suggest this practically perfect villa for your next Orlando visit! Travel floridakissimmeeorlandoreunion resortreview
