POP Century Resort Review: A Fun Blast From The Past Jenn, March 5, 2019February 8, 2020 Sharing is caring! 8 shares Share Tweet Pin8 POP Century is a fun resort, and perfect for anyone traveling to Walt Disney World. Take a look at what I thought after my first stay at this popular Walt Disney World Value Resort. POP Century Resort When you approach Pop you are greeted by Cast Members playing with Hula Hoops, Balls, and even chalk writing on the ground. It’s a really fun greeting to kick off vacation. The lobby is massive and there is a little alcove where the kids can play video games, while Mom or Dad check-into the resort. You will be assigned a room in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s or 90’s area. We were in the 60’s area by the pool. I would suggest if you have teens you may want to get adjoining rooms, the doubles will not fit 2 teens very well. The room is equipped with a refrigerator and all of your basic amenities. The bathroom has one sink. You can either get a room with two queen beds or one king and a murphy bed. Every day there are various activities on-site at POP and they are all FREE! At 2 pm there is a pool party every day at the Hippy Dippy Pool, and then stick around because at 3 pm there is the Groovy Dance Party Extravaganza! Show off your moves to classic line dances on the pool deck. Be sure to get the Recreation sheet when you check in because all the fun is on there. Every night after dark there is a Movie Under the Stars, these are always Disney movies of course so very family-friendly. Pin Trading at Pop Century If you love Pin Trading you won’t want to miss the daily events at Everything Pop from 12-1 & 5.30-6.30. This is also held in the Classic Hall in the Lobby from 5-5.30! Every night in the Classic Hall you can boogie on down and do the Hustle at 6 p.m. POP also has an arcade and playground on-site when you need a break from the parks. Speaking of parks–the bus system at POP was fantastic. They don’t share with any other resorts and have one central bus stop to all of the parks from the resort. I thought this was a great resort. And with it being a value, you really get a lot for your money. If you are on a budget but still want all of the magic and fun of a Walt Disney World Resort, give POP Century a try.
