Stay In The Heart of NYC: New York Hilton Midtown Review Jenn, April 22, 2017 Sharing is caring! Share Tweet Pin When planning a trip to New York City, there are a ton of variables involved. Location is key when visiting New York City, and the New York Hilton Midtown has a location that cannot be beat. Only steps from Radio City, Times Square, Central Park and many more attractions, this hotel should be on your radar. It may cost you a little extra, but staying in the heart of the city is priceless. It is vibrant, alive and truly the city that never sleeps. During a recent visit, I stayed at the New York Hilton Midtown and fell in love with the modern flair and top-notch amenities offered during my stay. What really sold me was the room size. It was HUGE and if you have been to New York City you know this is a big deal. While you may spend a little more per night for this piece of prime real estate, you’ll save on taxis and subway trips. With so many major attractions within walking distance, you are really immersed in the full New York City experience. From the smell of the street vendors wafting down the street to the sound of cabs honking their horns, the Hilton Midtown puts you in a New York State of Mind. Large Guest Rooms When I entered my two double guest room, I was shocked at how large it was. It is very typical in New York that guest rooms with two beds are double beds and not queens. I never noticed I was sleeping on a double bed because the Hilton Serenity bed was so incredibly comfortable after a long day in the city. Offering a desk, 37 inch flat screen TV, in-room safe, mini fridge and a few other amenities, this room is perfect for business or pleasure trips. Large guest rooms greet you at the New York Hilton Midtown. Basic Hotel Bathroom The room itself was quite large, but the bathroom was on the smaller side. Not a big deal but I thought I would make mention of it. With a tub/shower combo, toilet and sink all in the same space, it makes sharing a room with more than one person a little cramped when getting ready. The coolest part of the bathroom was the mirror. No matter how hot the bathroom got, the entire center of the mirror NEVER fogged up! Other than the magical mirror, the bathroom wasn’t all that memorable, but it served its purpose. Overall I loved the New York Hilton Midtown I really enjoyed my stay at the New York Hilton Midtown. Being in town for business, I didn’t mind the lack of family friendly amenities. After all, I didn’t have to entertain my kids. But even if I was traveling with my kids, I would stay here. Its location cannot be beat, especially if your focus is on everything in Midtown Manhattan. When you visit New York, there is so much to do outside of your hotel; location is really more important than the amenities offered. The grab and go Herb and Kitchen opens at 6 a.m. and closes at 1 a.m. or later, so the lack of room service really wasn’t a big deal to me. I could get my coffee in the morning and grab a snack and bottle of water after a long day. Looking for something a little less casual? Visit Bridges Bar for a killer martini and a full evening menu. The concierge was extremely helpful in finding a local lunch spot and we were very satisfied with the suggestion. In New York, it is imperative that the concierge be knowledgeable, and the concierge at the Hilton certainly was. Within ten minutes on foot, you can be in Central Park enjoying peace and quiet or the hustle and bustle of Times Square. In the winter months, you are two blocks from the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular or Rockefeller Center. Pack your walking shoes and plan a visit to the New York Hilton Midtown; the city is calling! Travel hilton hotelhotel reviewnew york citynew york hilton midtownnycvacation
