Mexico Travel: Know Before You Go In 2021 Jenn, March 17, 2021March 17, 2021 Sharing is caring! 2 shares Share Tweet Pin2 Mexico Travel is open for business, and has many enhanced protocols in place for a safe and enjoyable vacation. This will help explain everything you should know before you book your vacation — and what to expect when you get there. Mexico Travel Guide 2021 Are you thinking of a trip to Mexico this year? Here is what you can expect! COVID Testing Requirements There is no testing requirement to enter Mexico, for now. This means you can book your trip and arrive at the airport without being tested before you depart, although you will likely be subject to temperature checks and other measures during arrival and departure. However, as of January 2021, travelers arriving in the United States from international locations, including Mexico require a negative test to return. This test result must be from within 3 days of the travel date to be accepted. Many all-inclusive resorts are including testing on-site as part of your package. All you have to do is make appointment with the concierge upon arrival at your resort. Improved health safety Measures Palace Resorts has begun a brand new program, Purely Palace. Going beyond the already stringent quality controls and health measures in place, with the implementation of more than 250 preventive actions to assure everyone’s health and safety, including a Purely Palace health certification in every room on arrival, guaranteeing its complete disinfection. AMResorts has committed to redefining your travel journey with the best-in-class CleanComplete Verification™ practices. These new protocols further elevate their standards of quality and cleanliness, enabling you to vacation with the ultimate peace of mind. This 360-degree quality, safety and hygiene system takes into account every aspect of resort operations, backed by the highest-level third-party certification. RIU Resorts have rolled out an extensive look at what they are doing to ensure guests safety during travel. From limited high touch areas, to no self serve drink stations and more. These are just a few of the major resort brands in Mexico that are implementing health and safety measures. We have also learned that across Mexico resorts are, limiting capacity, ensuring handwashing and sanitizer stations are available, and requiring masks in public indoor spaces. While each resort has a different protocol, they are all on the same page. Private Beaches While many are still skeptical about travel right now, this could be a benefit for guests that do want to travel. In destinations including Cancun and Los Cabos, many resorts are at or below 30% capacity. This means you can wake up when you want without having to save a seat at the beach or pool, and that you can dine and relax without coming close to other guests. FREE Quarantine Coverage Heaven forbid you do test positive for Covid before your return home! But if you do, many resorts will cover your stay while you quarantine. Palladium Hotel Group is offering a Stay Safe program with free health insurance that includes up to 10 days of on-site quarantine in the event of a positive test result. When You Are Ready, Mexico Is Open Only you can decide whether to travel right now. If you decide to go to Mexico in 2021, I strongly recommend using a travel advisor. Never have they been more important than now, as they are fully educated on changing protocols and resorts. Go with an open mind and adjusted expectations, and you are sure to enjoy a vacation you will remember for years to come. Travel
