Fall is here and it’s time to explore Kansas City, KS Cider Hill Family Orchard With more than 1300 apple trees to pick from, five fishing ponds and plenty of space to run and play,Cider Hill Family Orchard has become a fall tradition for many families in Kansas City, KS. New this year includes fresh barrel smoked barbecue for purchase every weekend, $3 rides on the Cider Hill Express children’s train, and a small cider press for families to press their picked apples into fresh cider! Of course Cider Hill will also be bringing back favorites like caramel apples and cider donuts! Guests are welcome to pack a picnic and take family photos around the scenic property as well. Cabela’s At Cabela’s in Kansas City, KS, you can do much more than shop for your next outdoor trip, although you can find just about anything your adventurous heart desires in the 180, 00 sq-ft retail showroom. Here families can learn even more about the great outdoors and the creatures that inhabit them. Kids will love exploring the giant fresh water fish aquarium, the African diorama, and the Cabela’s Mule Deer Museum – all for free! Kansas City Renaissance Festival, September 3- October 17 2016 Your family can enjoy concerts, entertainment, good food, dancing, crafts, shows and lots of fun at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival September 3rd – October 17th. American Royal World Series of Barbecue The American Royal is pleased to announce that the 2016 World Series of Barbecue® – the world’s largest barbecue competition – will be held at The Kansas Speedway, October 26-30.
