Located in The Sweetest Place on Earth, no visit to Hershey, PA is complete without a visit to Chocolate World. We have been more times than I can count, but have never taken the time to do all of the fun attractions. During our last visit we finally changed that. I had no idea you could spend a whole day exploring this sweet destination! Hershey’s Chocolate World – Attractions Adjacent to Hersheypark is Hershey’s Chocolate World, and guess what admission is FREE! You can shop for all of your favorite Hershey candy, or take a spin on the world famous chocolate tour at no cost. They also have many experiences that you can purchase admission for, and I am going to tell you all about them. Hershey’s Chocolate Tour Follow cocoa beans on a delicious journey along the chocolate making tour. See, feel, hear and smell the transformation of cocoa beans to HERSHEY’S famous chocolate on this fun tour. When you are done the tour, you get a free sample of Hershey’s Chocolate. This is a very informative and fun attraction. Admission is FREE for the tour. 4D Chocolate Movie This family fun 4D show takes you on an adventure with Reese, Hershey Bar and Ms. Kiss as you try to figure out who wants to sabotage the factory. You become part of the show from beginning to end. With over 100 different variations of the show, you can experience it over and over and never see the same show twice. We laughed out loud, and had a few unexpected surprises. This is great for all ages! Admission is $7.95 (ages 13+), $6.95 (ages 3-12) and children ages 2 and under are free. Hershey’s Unwrapped- A Chocolate Tasting Journey They had me at chocolate tasting, let’s be honest. In this immersive show you will unwrap and taste your way through the tale of HERSHEY’S Chocolate with a fun and educational twist. Do you know why Dark Chocolate has more of a crisp than Milk Chocolate? You will after this tour. You will learn the 5 senses that relate to chocolate and why they matter. Admission is $15.95 (ages 13+), $12.95 (ages 3-12) and children ages 2 and under are free. Create Your Own Candy Bar Get creative and make your very own Hershey Bar! What is more authentic than this experience? Immerse yourself in an authentic factory experience, you even wear a hair net and apron! You being by choosing your ingredients and then you will design your own wrapper. We had so much fun doing this, you literally watch the bar being made in front of you and follow it to the end. I kept it simple by adding pretzel bits to mine, but the girls were piled with chocolate chips, sprinkles and more. Admission all Ages are $26.95. Children ages 8 and under who are creating a candy bar must be accompanied by an adult who has purchased a ticket. Hershey Trolley Works While we didn’t do this on our recent visit, we have done it during the Holidays and it is an absolute treat. These tours are full of history, song and of course chocolate. Take a trip through downtown Hershey and learn about Milton S Hershey and his beginnings. Reese’s Stuff Your Cup Brand new for 2021 is a one of a kind experience for Reese Cup lovers! Here you can customize your own 1lb Reese Cup with up to four mix-in ingredients ranging from bacon, to chocolate and even marshmallow. The possibilities are endless. And the peanut butter comes straight from the factory just down the road. Talk about a fresh Reese Cup. The cost is $14.95 per cup! And I promise you, it lasts in the fridge for up to 4 days. Tickets For Attractions The best way to experience all of these fun attractions is to buy your tickets in advance, and purchase a bundle. The bigger the bundle, the more you save as opposed to purchasing your tickets the day you arrive. Hershey’s Chocolate World- Food & Drinks Take a break from the fun and enjoy multiple food and drink options at Chocolate World. The food hall offers both sweet & savory options for whatever you desire. I personally love the Loaded Mac n Cheese or the Epic Pretzel with a cold beer. Yes, you read that right you can enjoy a local brew or a cold sangria at Chocolate World. My daughter always goes right to the S’mores stand, or enjoys a mini pizza with a Jolly Rancher slush. Don’t forget to grab a handcrafted milkshake or a signature Bakery item! The options are vast here.
