 Gaylord National Resort will ring in spring beginning March 4, 2022 with an array of spring-themed activities designed to highlight the beautiful season.

Gaylord National is one of our favorite staycation destinations in the Baltimore/DC area. Located on the Potomac River in National Harbor, it’s easy to get to from anywhere in Central Maryland and Northern Virginia. We love the rooftop lounge, Replay Pop Up at POSE. It is an 80’s themed pop-up bar offering over-the-top milkshakes and more. The wraparound rooftop bar features neon lights, retro arcade games and the best of 80’s music.

Gaylord National Resort recently completed a $64 million guestroom renovation at its spectacular waterfront hotel and convention center. Underneath its 19-story roof, guests can explore the lush, garden Atrium with nightly light shows, boutique shops, and delicious food and beverage offerings. Steps outside of the resort is its active waterfront destination with more than 40 restaurants, 160 shops (including Tanger Outlets), and entertainment that includes everything from MGM National Harbor to taking a spin on The Capital Wheel, a 180-foot-tall observation wheel. With a complimentary shuttle, ample parking, water taxi services and more, guests have easy access to explore National Harbor and the Capital area.

Adventure Kids Bedtime Bunny Tales

Adventure Kid Sophie reads Beatrix Potter’s classic “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” for a very special bedtime story on your in-room TV. Enjoy the classic tale — all from the comfort of your room — while Sophie adds some real-world knowledge about rabbits, plants, nature, and more. This is complimentary experience for overnight guests. 

Springtime Cookie Decorating

Sweet springtime treats are ready to adorn and achieve confection perfection! Decorate delicious cookies and take them home to enjoy in this creative, hands-on activity – priced at $15.99 per decorating kit.

Easter Bunny Meet & Greet

While you might not spot him as he’s hiding his eggs, the lovable Easter Bunny takes a break from preparing his famous egg hunt to take photos with guests on Easter Sunday.

Paint Me a Fairytale Interactive Show

Bursts of color and flashes of magic bring classic fairytales to life in this interactive storytelling adventure. Be drawn into the magic as Mother Goose herself paints to life some of your storybook favorites, including Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and The Beanstalk, and The Princess and The Pea in this live stage show – priced at $16.99 per person.

Spring-A-Long Scavenger Hunt

Buzz & Blossom are bursting with excitement as they navigate Gaylord National. Search high and low for clues throughout the resort to solve the scavenger hunt puzzles and receive a prize. This activity is $12.99 per scavenger hunt booklet.

Wildlife Rescue – An Augmented Reality Experience presented by bubbly™

The resort is transformed into an exciting safari for families to discover and learn about endangered animals. This virtual experience guides guests to track down endangered species and helps ensure they are monitored for their protection. The adventure highlights indigenous animals and, with the magic of augmented reality, brings them to life before your eyes! This is complimentary experience for hotel visitors and overnight guests.

Dining Experiences

Book your reservation for dinner at Gaylord National’s signature restaurant, Old Hickory Steakhouse, which will feature a spring-influenced prix fixe menu. After dinner, make your way up to Replay Rooftop – an 80s-inspired rooftop lounge which serves over-the-top seasonal milkshakes with or without alcohol.
