Family Fun in Disney Springs Jenn, October 28, 2022October 28, 2022 Sharing is caring! 2 shares Share Tweet Pin Disney Springs is a great place to visit when you have a non-park day- or when you are in Orlando and looking for a great day out. Packed with great shopping, dining, bars, entertainment and more it’s the perfect place for the entire family. Let’s take a look at my favorite places at Disney Springs. Disney Springs – Shopping, Dining and More! Dining at Disney Springs These are my family’s favorite spots when we have worked up an appetite. Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill Orlando is our favorite place to dine in Disney Springs, there I said it. We have been numerous times, and have never had a bad experience. The bolognese pasta is my favorite dish, in Orlando. Located in the Town Center at the bottom of the orange garage escalators, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill offers rustic elegance and upscale dining. The 250-seat restaurant also features a gelato bar and full-service bar serving a selection of cocktails, craft beers and wines. Full Review The Polite Pig The Polite Pig is hands down a do not miss dining spot. Located in Disney Springs adjacent to lime garage escalator, the Polite Pig calls itself a “Modern BBQ + Taps” restaurant. I would classify The Polite Pig a casual dining experience. You do not need a reservation, although, there will probably be a line wrapped outside the door on weekends. Full Review Terralina Crafted Italian Terralina Crafted Italian offers fresh Italian fare in a beautiful modern setting. We had the pleasure of being their guest for dinner, and were absolutely delighted by this dining experience at Disney Springs. Inspired by Italy’s Lake District, with its alluring vistas and sun-drenched settings, you have a standing invitation to soak in all that feels good. Full Review There are so many dining options at Disney Springs, it’s hard to narrow down favorites- because they are all so different. Shopping at Disney Springs My girls and I have never been one to say no to shopping, and Disney Springs has ample shopping! The best part about the Springs is that it’s not all Disney merchandise, yes it’s home to the largest Disney Store on property but that’s not all. Basin Fresh As you walk into Basin you are greeted by rows of bath and body products, all with beautiful scents. From bath bombs, to shampoo, body scrubs and more. You can also find some Disney themed soaps. My teen spends a good bit of time in here trying the soaps at their sink until she finds the perfect scent. Rustic Cuff Are you looking for unique jewelry that tells a story? Rustic Cuff offers everything from simple bracelets to engraved jewelry. Founder Jill Donovan gifted a bracelet to Oprah’s BFF, Gayle, who then re-gifted it to Oprah. When Oprah featured it on her magazine cover, the brand took off and so did the idea of regifting. Disney Springs is also home to many tops brands including lululemon, Zara, Pandora and so many more. If shopping is your thing, you don’t want to miss the Springs! Entertainment at Disney Springs Cirque du Soleil- Drawn To Life We have seen many Cirque shows, but have never been moved the way we were by Drawn to Life. This show incorporates all of the skill and beauty in a Cirque du Soleil show with a touch of Disney animation sprinkled in. The shows tagline is “a love letter to the magic of Disney animation” and this is absolutely the case. With heartfelt touches not just to the characters, but also to the animators who work so hard, there’s lots to love about “Drawn to Life.” I really don’t want to give anything away- as it’s truly a show you need to experience. But in a subtle Disney way there is a Hero, a Villian, a troupe of silly friends as well as love and loss. Tickets to this Cirque du Soleil show range from $85 – $149, plus tax and fees. While you may think that is high, I promise if you skip a park day and buy tickets- you won’t be sorry. I was an invited media guest, and my tickets were complimentary. Savannah Bee Company You are probably thinking, why are there bees in Disney Springs- well there aren’t. But Savannah Bee Company is! I had never been to this store before and it was more than just a store that sells honey, it was an experience for the whole family. At Savannah Bee Company your family will learn all you’ve ever wanted to know about honey, beekeeping and their mission. The in-shop bee educators will lead you through a tasting of artisanal, single-varietal honeys from all over the world. The Honey Bar offers 12 samples of honey, along with their fresh honeycomb. The best part is- it’s FREE! If you are 21 or older can try a flight of Mead―a type of wine where the fermentable sugar is derived from honey. They have 2 flights available and they begin at $10 per person. For research (and we weren’t driving) we tried them all. This was really fun, and I had no idea I even liked mead before this. My teens were in LOVE with all of the honey based cosmetics, from lotions, to lip gloss they were trying everything they could. They even sell all natural salves and headache remedies. We had a ton of fun, and it was a great way to learn and experience all of the amazing reasons that we need to SAVE THE BEES! This is just a glimpse of all there is to see and do at Disney Springs- it truly is a full day destination. Disney
