Family Christmas Vacation: My Favorite Destinations Jenn, December 8, 2019 Sharing is caring! Share Tweet Pin The holiday season is about family, and what better way to embrace time with your family than with a vacation. I prefer to discover new destinations with my family, over consumer driven gifts. Break free from the norm, and plan a vacation for Christmas, I promise the memories will last longer than “stuff”. Family Christmas Vacation Family vacations during the holiday season have a very different feel to them. They are warm and inviting, destinations are decorated to celebrate the season, and it’s just a beautiful time to travel. We have vacationed at many places during Christmas and are never disappointed. Take at look at my families favorite places to visit during Christmas. Keep in mind, we live in a cold destination during the holiday season, so our favorites are warm! Beaches Resorts If you want to get away from it all and not plan a thing, Beaches Resorts are where you want to be. Whether sitting on the beach in Jamaica or Turks and Caicos, you will make lasting memories. This family all-inclusive resort is the cream of the crop with five star dining, stunning accommodations, and a variety of activities. All Beaches resorts include Pirates Island waterparks, Sesame street® characters, kids camps and an exciting nightclub for teens. If you live in a state that is cold during the holiday season, basking in the sun should be number 1 on your list! Colonial Williamsburg Nothing says charming holiday getaway, like Colonial Williamsburg. Being only a four hour drive, this is one of our favorite places to visit during Christmas. Enjoy the experience of lighting the town with candles and cressets, from taverns to Market Square, the Capitol and more along Duke of Gloucester street. From caroling, to making homemade wreaths and experiencing the firing of the Christmas guns Williamsburg is a one of a kind holiday. Cruise The Caribbean My family loves to cruise, while not an all-inclusive vacation it is a very all in one way to travel. Once you embark you leave your worries on the shore and escape to ports with warm breezes and rum drinks! Cruise ships have come so far, they truly are floating cities. I just returned from one of the newest ships at sea, and I was flying around the go-kart track and playing laser tag. Enjoy some serious family bonding be it at the pool, playing trivia or sitting down to an amazing dinner. Orlando No family Christmas vacation would be complete without a trip to the vacation capital of the United States! From world famous wizards and mice, there is more in Orlando than just theme parks. Don’t get me wrong, we adore the theme parks in Orlando and visit at least once a year but there is so much more to see. Experience hot air balloon rides at sunset, or gators up close on an air-boat ride, the options are unlimited. Orlando is a great escape from the winter blues. No matter where you choose to spend your families Christmas vacation, make it a memorable one! Travel beaches resortsfamily travelholiday travel
