Carnival has rolled out it’s Dr. Seuss at Sea program on all sailings. During your cruise you will be able to partake in fun themed events. For only a $5.00 per person up-charge, you can have brunch with Dr. Seuss and Friends on the final sea day of your cruise. We did this on our last cruise and the kids (and kids at heart) loved it!
Dr. Seuss Brunch
On Embarkation day visit the Dr. Seuss table in the atrium lobby to make a reservation, the brunch is a small affair with limited tables so be sure to reserve early as there are only two seating’s on the last sea day.
This special event is held in the main dining room, you are checked in upon arrival and seated rather quickly. The room is decorated in a fun and whimsical Dr. Seuss theme to match the Cat in the Hat and Thing 1 Thing 2. The menus even look like a storybook, no detail is missed for this event. There are red and blue themed tablecloths with polka dots across them, giant Cat in the Hat top hats with a cardboard cutout, and a big ice carving of the famous feline. The servers are also dressed with a Seuss flair.
Choose from fun menu items like Green Eggs and Ham, Truffula Tree Pancakes, and Fox n Sox Steak and Eggs. Be sure to have a strawberry parfait as well! If you have picky eaters there is also cold cereal or just simple eggs and bacon.
While you are waiting for your treats you will get visits from Sam I Am, Thing One & Thing Two, and of course Dr. Seuss. They will sign your special autograph sheet and pose for photos. A ship photographer will also be there to capture some fun moments from brunch.
Overall this is a really fun event, and perfect for the kids. And the $5 upcharge makes it really affordable for families of every size.
