Carnival says “Vote The Cat in the Hat For President”

The Cat in the Hat is running for President on Carnival Cruise Line; as part of the Seuss at Sea program for kids. The #CatInTheHat4Prez campaign coincides with the release of the new Dr. Seuss book, “One Vote, Two Votes, I Vote, You Vote”.

I love this concept because it teaches even the youngest members of the family about the election process and how important it is to vote. Dr. Seuss breaks it down in his natural rhyming fun way; and makes it interesting for kids to understand the process.

We were invited on board the beautiful Carnival Pride to learn about The Cat in the Hats presidential bid this past Sunday. This was quite the tease for the kids as they boarded the ship to learn we had to get off before it left port. We didn’t bring any bags; not exactly sure what the girls were thinking.

Joined by his running mates, Thing 1 and Thing 2, The Cat in the Hat, decked out in his special presidential attire, hit the campaign trail on Carnival Pride to showcase his platform of “it’s fun to have fun but you have to know how” and led kids in a special Seuss-a-palooza Presidential Parade.

We really worked up and appetite cheering on the newest Presidential candidate. Following the Cat in the Hat for President press conference and parade we were off to the popular Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast with the Cat in the Hat and friends. This brunch is offered on the last sea day of your cruise and is only $10.00 per person. After enjoying our brunch I can say this is a fantastic value for a family fun activity on board.

The dining room is designed in a colorful Cat in the Hat theme complete with zany patterns and bright colors. You really get the feeling you have been transformed to a magical and fun place for brunch. This is not a buffet and has a fun menu ranging from the popular Green Eggs and Ham to Cereal Crusted French Toast. The girls chose pancakes; even they were fun in red and white colors built like a Truffella tree!

During your brunch the Cat in The Hat, Thing 1 and Thing 2 as well as Sam I Am will join you for pictures and autographs. The fun doesn’t stop there, every Carnival Cruise meal ends with a party and your servers deliver just that wearing silly wigs and dancing a jig.

After touring the ship; we will certainly be back! The Port of Baltimore is convenient; with the Carnival Pride being there almost year round it’s a winning combination for a family vacation.
