Aventura Hotel Now Open at Universal Orlando Resort Jenn, August 29, 2018 Sharing is caring! Share Tweet Pin Aventura Hotel is now officially open to guests at Universal Orlando Resort, making this the sixth on-site resort hotel. I had the pleasure of attending the media preview before it officially opened to experience all that this new resort offers guests. With a prime-value price point, and chic modern amenities, I see this quickly becoming a favorite for on-site stays. Aventura Hotel I am no stranger when it comes to the on-site hotels at Universal Orlando Resort. Having stayed at all but one of them, they are all vastly different but equally amazing. Aventura Hotel is the smallest of the on-site hotels, with 600 rooms in a single 17 story tower. It is located next to Loews Sapphire Falls Resort and across the street from Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort. Aventura Hotel does not include Universal express pass, but does include many resort benefits. Early park admission (this is one of the best ways to beat the crowds and ride top attractions without Express Pass) Free transportation to theme parks and City Walk Free package delivery Resort wide charging privileges When you enter Aventura you are greeted by a clean modern space, certainly not a feeling you get at other budget friendly hotels. Guest check-in is located to the left when you enter. What I found most interesting, is all of the hotel amenities are on the main floor as you enter. Dining & Amenities Don’t discount the amenities offered just by the fact that this is a prime-value hotel. From a stunning pool to the first roof-top bar in Orlando you definitely need to spend a day enjoying the hotel. Urban Pantry Urban Pantry serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This food hall serves up diverse flavors, fresh ingredients, and globally inspired dishes at four fast-casual stations: roast, pizza, wok, and burger. The food here is really good, we had various samples during our visit. I loved the pork dumplings, the paella and the fries. When I am back in September I will certainly be dining here again. Starbucks A staple in all Universal Orlando hotels, you can get your caffeine fix and a quick bite. Bar Ventura The lobby bar is sleek, open, and spacious, and it serves up cocktails every night. Bar Sol The pool-side bar offers a variety of Latin-themed drinks on tap. If you don’t want to be adventurous, they also have PBR on tap. Enjoy a frozen, Mule De Sol. No food is served here. Bar 17 Bistro Head to this rooftop location for a bird’s eye view of Universal Orlando Resort, and some great small plates and cocktails. Drinks are served from 4:00 pm to 2:00 am every night, with snacks and dinner offered from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Give the Bao Buns a try, the pork belly and grilled grouper were two of my favorites. Pool Keeping with the simple hotel plan, there is neither a water slide or cabanas at Aventura Hotel. The pool is still a beautiful space to relax, and rejuvenate offering zero entry, hot tub, and kids splash pad. The fire-pit is a great place to relax at night while the kids roast smores’ and you enjoy a cocktail from Bar Sol. Insider Tip: Aventura’s pool does have underwater speakers. While this may seem insignificant, it’s a fun addition for kids and adults alike. Other on-site amenities included at Aventura Hotel: Fitness Center Universal Gift Shop Virgin Holidays’s V-Hub. This is a space for out-of-country visitors to relax and recharge on their departure day. It also offers complimentary light morning snacks. VR Game Room- You pay $10 for a five-minute turn with one of six different games, which include Snowball, Longbow, Vortex, Fruit Ninja, Space Pirates, and Zombie Training Center Guest Rooms All 600 of Aventura’s rooms offer a simple and modern feel – something which Universal says is perfect to “rest the mind and body,”. A brand new feature to this on-site hotel, is each room comes equipped with a tablet that allows guests to: control the television, lights, and air-conditioning,order room service, and stay up to date on park news with the Official Universal Orlando app. Beyond the high-tech function, you will also have complimentary wi-fi, a coffee maker, in-room safe, and two-compartment bathrooms. This hotel also offers more charging stations (both in the guest room and public spaces) than any of the other on-site properties. Standard Room Amenities In-room tablet to control many of the room’s features 43″ flat panel television with HD channels HVAC controls connected to Smart Room technology Mini-refrigerator Cuisinart single coffee-pod brewer Complimentary wireless internet access in each guest room and most common areas of the hotel In-room safe Iron and ironing board Separate bath and vanity area Mounted hairdryer Zero% hair- and body-care products Room Categories Aventura offers three different room categories, while all of the in-room amenities are the same across property, there are a few minor differences. The rooms are all very chic, with eggplant and grey tones in the rooms. Like I said, this property is very modern and minimalistic, compared to the other on-site resorts that offer in-depth themes. If you want a prime-value price point, and a place to lay your head after long days in the parks, this is where you want to be. Standard Rooms Standard View and Skyline View are available in both a two-queen room (maximum occupancy of five guest) and a king room (maximum occupancy of four guests). These rooms are 314 square feet. Deluxe Rooms The deluxe rooms are the same as their standard counterpart, but just a bit bigger – both the deluxe double queen and king rooms are 385 square feet. If you really want to experience a great view request a corner room, the layout also feels like a larger room. Kids Suite Aventura Hotel has 13 kids suites, which contain an adjoining room (which can be separated by a curtain) for the kids They are 591 square feet and sleep a total of five, including two twin beds for the kids and a couch that converts into a deluxe foam bed. There is a king bed for the parents sleep area in the main part of room. The kids suite also has a bathtub, which is not an option in other room categories. A standard room rate begins at $116 per night and Kids Suites begin at $216 per night. This is a heck of a deal compared to the other on-site resorts! With your hotel savings, you could even add Universal Express Pass during one of your park days. Aventura Hotel is the modern and stylish place to stay on-site. This prime-value priced hotel is within walking distance of Universal’s Volcano Bay, and a short ride to the other theme parks.
