Terralina Crafted Italian: A Welcome Disney Springs Dining Experience

Terralina Crafted Italian (formerly Portobello) has opened its doors at Disney Springs, and is offering fresh italian fare in a beautiful modern setting. We had the pleasure of being their guest last week for lunch, and were absolutely delighted by this new dining at Disney Springs.

Terralina Crafted Italian Review

Disney Springs is growing by leaps and bounds, especially in the way of dining experiences. With a menu curated by James Beard award-winning chef, Tony Mantuano, and Orlando native, Chef Justin Plank, Terralina Crafted Italian is a great new addition. With it’s inviting atmosphere and outdoor bar, guests are welcome to enjoy homemade pasta, charcuterie, and handcrafted drinks.

We dined during the lunch hour, as that is often a little less chaotic with two kids under five. The restaurant wasn’t packed, but I attribute that to it being August and everyone is in the parks in the afternoons. I imagine once happy hour begins the outdoor seating and patio are full each day. The lunch offerings are large portions and there is a lot to choose from. Had we known how large the portions were, we would  have split an entrée’.

We began our meal with house-made bread and giardiniera. I could have made a meal of this alone, it was fresh and fantastic. Our appetizer was the Calamari Fritti, it was light and fresh, a crowd pleaser for our table.

Our server was very attentive, and took extra notice that we had kids with us. She brought both of their lunches out shortly after our appetizer, and we didn’t even have to ask. The kids cheeseburger pizza is huge, and we even shared some with him. The pizza at Terralina Crafted is wood fired and made fresh to order, don’t miss it.

Shortly after the kids meals came out our entrée’s were served. My wife chose the Crispy Parmesan Burger and I chose a house special pasta the Seafood Cannelloni. My meal was rich and very filling, and I could only eat half. The burger was good, and the homemade truffle chips that come with it are out of this world.

We had a memorable experience at Terralina Crafted Italian and cannot wait to come back. While there are many Italian restaurants at Walt Disney World, Terralina Crafted Italian sets itself apart from the rest.
