Nintendo Switch is designed to go wherever you do, transforming from home console to portable system in a snap. So you get more time to play the games you love, however you like. Imagine the classic console, Wii and 3DS all rolled into one package–that is the Nintendo Switch.
Are you a Nintendo lover? Or maybe you are in the market for a new family gaming system. Whichever category you fall into you will want to take a look at the brand new Nintendo Switch launching March 3 in stores nationwide.
I wouldn’t consider myself a gamer but I certainly know my way around a Nintendo game. I enjoy a race against the kids on Mario Kart or a solo game of Mario Brothers while the kids are in school–shh don’t tell. When my family was invited to play the all new Nintendo Switch for 3 hours last weekend we jumped at it. Take a look at the Nintendo Switch from a Mom’s point of view, not a gamers.
Nintendo Switch Features
- Dock your Nintendo Switch and play HD gaming on your television.
- Play on the go when you undock your switch and can take it anywhere
- Play together with friends. Flip the stand and take off the side controls, just like that you can battle it out in Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers
- Start a gaming party anytime with multiplayer games for Nintendo Switch. Use additional Joy‑Con controllers, Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers, or a combo of the two.
- Battery life can last for more than six hours, but will vary depending on the software and usage.
Not your average controller, the Joy-Con can be used in a few different ways. One controller or two, vertical or sideways, motion controls or buttons…Joy‑Con and Nintendo Switch give you total playing flexibility. You can use the grip to make it a handheld controller, or use it as a motion control system. Ready to play on the go, slide the Joy-Con into the console and you are off.
My daughter loved the table top mode with the joy-con in your hands. She said it was easier to control in Mario Kart. I am an old school controller fan myself.
Keep the focus on fun by using parental controls to manage how your child interacts with Nintendo Switch. You can even manage Nintendo eShop purchases via your Nintendo Account. You may also limit sharing on social networks, restrict access to games based on their ratings, and more. A free app gives you even more choices and a handy way to manage your Nintendo Switch parental controls from anywhere via your mobile device. I don’t know about you, but this is a game changer for me as a parent.
Games For Everyone
We played for over three hours testing all of the games the new Nintendo Switch will release. From Street Fighter Duels to Mario Kart races we had a great time with our old favorites. My husband is beyond happy that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is coming out. I really had no idea he was that big of a fan to be honest. We can’t forget about favorites such as Splatoon 2, Skylanders Imaginators and Sonic Mania. All of these games are updated versions of the classics we know and love. A brand new game called 1-2-Switch will be the hit of family game night with silly games such as Quick Draw, Milk and Table Tennis.
No matter your gaming level the Nintendo Switch is great for the entire family. This all new system will be released in stores March 3, and you can pre-order now.
