On our most recent Carnival Cruise we sailed on the Pride out of Baltimore, this ship has been given fantastic 2.0 upgrades. Included in the upgrades is the brand new Dr. Seuss at Sea program for families. We attended story time with Cat in the Hat as well as the Sea Day Brunch.
On Embarkation day visit the Dr. Seuss table in the atrium lobby to make a reservation, the brunch is a small affair with limited tables so be sure to reserve early as there are only 2 seatings on the last sea day. For a special dining event we were amazed that the surcharge was only $5 a person!
Held in the main dining room you are checked in upon arrival and seated rather quickly. The room is decorated in a fun and whimsical Dr. Seuss theme to match the Cat in the Hat and Thing 1 Thing 2. The menus even look like a storybook, no detail is missed for this event.
While you are awaiting your meal to be served you are greeted by the characters themselves, they sign your book and take photos. Definitely a great morning for children.
This is a cruise so I can’t forget to talk about the food! Most of us ordered the Steak and Eggs, however the little one ordered pancakes. Our food was hot and fresh and a welcome change from the Lido Buffet in the mornings.
I highly recommend you add this Sea Day activity on your next Carnival Cruise. It was a lot of fun!
