Summer Travel: 4 Must Have Apps That Simplify Vacations Jenn, June 3, 2017 Sharing is caring! 0 shares Share Tweet Pin Summer travel apps are a dime a dozen. Many focus on finding the best airfare, or last-minute hotels. With summer around the corner I want to share the four must have apps you should download today. Some will make you money, others will save you time. Summer Travel Apps Don’t Forget Your Underwear 1. Packing Pro ($2.99) gets you ready for your big trip before you leave by making sure you’ll have everything you need while away from home. If you like to make lists, this app is a dream come true for planning a vacation. You start by creating your trip entry, then add everything from pre-trip preparations to every item of clothing you’re going to need — all by choosing each item from an exhaustive premade list. Know Your Airport 2. Airports by TravelNerd (free) is your guide to the layouts, shops, resources, and more at 70 of the most popular airports. While it’s not something we usually think about on an exciting vacation adventure, it’s worthwhile to know the lay of the land when you get to a big airport, especially if you have a long layover. The app tells you where everything is so you can pick the best food to eat during a long layover, gives you terminal maps so you know the fastest path to your flight during a short layover, and other helpful resources. You also get airport parking options and prices, along with store and restaurant hours so you’re completely dialed in. I am about to travel abroad and WILL be using this for Heathrow airport in London. Eat Like A Local 3. Lunchbox (free) is a fun way to find local food and drink spots based on the reviews of people who have already been there. All you have to do is pick among categories that include Food and Restaurants, Coffee and Tea, or Bars and Nightclubs. Then, Lunchbox lists out the names of places near your GPS location, colorful pictures of the venues, and short reviews written by people who have been there. This one can be used in your city as well, so be sure to use it anytime, not just vacation. Get PAID To Eat and Travel 4. DOSH (free) is a cash back app that tracks down offers and applies cash back to your Dosh Wallet. When you shop or eat at a business connected to Dosh, the app will automatically apply the cash back to your wallet. No coupon cutting, no hunting for discount codes, just live your life and let Dosh do the work for you. My favorite feature is the cash back for travel. You can shop hotels within the app and see who will give you the best return. The Four Seasons in Baltimore offered me $34 back per night! I see a luxury weekend in my future. Download these four travel apps and have a hassle free vacation! Travel doshfamily travelsummer traveltravelTravel Tipstravel tipsvacation
